I've worked for the county school board for 10 years now and my employer has been threatening us with unemployment for the last 10 months as a means of using it against us in our yet to be settled bargaining agreement. This is the time, America, to really figure out if you want to go through this again. I say we teach our children to be self-sufficient and really explore the entrepreneurial spirit so when they graduate college they can pave their own way to success and not have to count on their employers. I, too, feel very blessed to have an employer that has been so accommodating and flexible, especially since I had my daughter.
